Annular Eclipse in Spain part 2 (composites like multiple exposure sequences)
I brought my Nikon D70 to Europe with me but I did not plan to use it for
the eclipse because I had only one tripod that was for video camera and
no additional one. Besides I had just one lens of 28mm which I meant to
use for the landscapes like great mountains of Alps in Switzerland. Fortunately, I could borrow a tripod from Pepe and could take still shots. I thought how nice it would be if I could take a multiple exposure sequence photo of the occultation. Multiple exposure is a shot of more than one exposure on one frame of film. But it is difficult because you have to expose exactly regularly, and periodically. You cannot make mistakes. If you are late once, it will spoil the whole image. Even a cloud will ruin the sequence. I am not an accurate person to be able to do this. Besides, I was not sure if my camera had this function or not. So I decided to take many frames and compose one image out of them, which is much easier. And this is the result: I picked up the shots of every 11 minutes. Composite frame of fixed shots, looking like multiple exposure sequence photo! |
